Update from the Club on Corona We have seen what is happening across the world, and it is only right for us to be proactive in event of a widespread outbreak in London. The Committee has formed two working groups, the first is to ensure that members are kept up to date with advice and the second to work with our partners (Globe, Traf Committee, LYR, The Docks) to ensure that we are sharing information. Should there be an escalation, we may need to deep clean the gym or shut it all together, a similar situation may occur over at the docks. We will inform you and request you all be compliant with the closures.

  • There will be single use blue roll going into the gym this week to be used to wipe down all gym equipment
  • New signage to remind everyone to wipe down equipment
  • Hand sanitiser gel – to replenish if possible
  • The clubhouse will be open in order for people to wash their hands (please ask captains for keys)

What we ask from you?
 1. If you feel unwell, please follow government guidelines and contact 111.

2. Inform your captain and do not come down to the gym/rowing club etc.

Finally, please read and follow the below guidelines. It is for you, and for your team mates.

Best practise for keeping safe with covid-19

Symptoms of coronavirus:
The symptoms of coronavirus are: a cough, high temperature and shortness of breath, tiredness, and muscle pain. But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.

How coronavirus is spread:
Covid-19 spreads through droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes and by touching contaminated surfaces. Symptoms develop 2-14 days after coming in contact with the virus.

What can you do

DO open the doors in the gym to get fresh air in.
