Curlew is a rowing club in East London and is open to all ages and abilities. Although very successful, with crews at Henley for 10 of the last 11 years, we pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Almost all of Curlew’s boats are kept near the Royal Albert Dock in the boathouse at the London Regatta Centre.

The London Regatta Centre houses the majority of Curlew’s boats, together with the rowing tank which we use on a Wednesday evening, and a truly fantastic Chines restaurant called the Yi-Ban! The Royal Albert Dock provides ample opportunity for sprint and endurance training.
The nearest DLR is Royal Albert - carry on going straight on at the bottom of the station for another couple of hundred yards and on your left will be the entrance to (and car park of) the London Regatta Centre. The boathouse is on your left on the way in, almost exactly under the DLR line.
Heading out from the City, to get to Royal Albert DLR station, head out on either Jubilee Line or the Central Line and:
...if starting with the Jubilee Line - head for Canning Town; at Canning Town take the DLR eastbound to Royal Albert (4 stops).
...if starting with the Central Line - head for Bank; at Bank change for the DLR. Try and get onto a Beckton DLR otherwise get on the first DLR and change at Westferry and/or Poplar for the Beckton DLR. The stop you need is Royal Albert DLR.
The route by car is very easy and there’s ample parking in the London Regatta Centre car park.
Heading out from the City: take either the A13 or the A1203 for City Airport; bear right onto the A1020 and at the roundabout for City Airport drive over the Connaught Bridge - you will see the Royal Victoria Dock (and Excel Centre) on your left and the Royal Albert Dock on your right. At the roundabout on the north side of the Connaught Bridge turn right, then at the next roundabout turn right at the traffic lights towards the glass and steel office block. At the T-junction in front of the glass and steel office block turn right and follow the road along, passing the Royal Albert DLR station on the right. The Regatta Center car park will be two hundred yards further down on your left.
