Curlew Rowing Club

Curlew Rowing Club is located in the Trafalgar Rowing Centre (TRC) in Greenwich, on Crane Street. Here you will find our clubhouse and bar, the new gym and boathouse.
The nearest DLR is the CUTTY SARK (for Maritime Greenwich) - walk towards the river and walk eastwards along riverfront by the Naval College, till you get to the Trafalgar Tavern. The clubhouse is located 30yrds down from the Trafalgar Tavern on Crane Street. See map for precise location....and we train mainly at the London Regatta Centre (see below for directions)

Head for Island Gardens DLR

Once out of the DLR turn left and George Green School is further along from the all-weather pitch, on the opposite side of the road. Make your way to the main reception of the school which is almost opposite the row of shops, by the zebra Crossing.

Once inside head up stairs to the main gym.

..by car...

Head for the Isle of Dogs.
From Greenwich, follow signs for the Blackwall Tunnel, and Woolwich on A206. At traffic lights turn left into Blackwall Lane A2203 (no sign). At the junction with A102 fly-over, take the nearside turn left for the A102 (signposted Blackwall Tunnel). You will then enter the Blackwall Tunnel (toll-free for the time being!) As you emerge you will need to keep left for the junction with A12/A13. Branch left (signposted A13) then turn left (signposted Isle of Dogs) and keep left to reach the junction with A1206. Head for the A1206 (signposted Isle of Dogs). You will then approach a large roundabout called the Billingsgate Roundabout (under the flyover) take the 2nd exit.

This is Manchester Road. Follow this over a blue bridge, and at the mini roundabout, keep going straight on. This is a long road but as you reach the bottom of the Isle of Dogs, you are nearing George Green School. You will pass a Church on your left as you follow the road round to the right. George Green School is on your left. If you see Island Gardens DLR you have gone too far.

Park safely near the School. Then make your way to the main reception of the school which is almost opposite the row of shops, by the zebra Crossing.

Once inside head up stairs to the main gym.

..by car...

Head for the Isle of Dogs.
From the City, head out on the A1203 for the Docklands.You will need to use Limehouse Link Tunnel (30mph). Once inside stay in the left hand lane and take the branch sign posted "Isle of Dogs" then at top of slip road turn right for the A1206. As you turn right, you will be heading for the underground (covered) Westferry Roundabout. Once "inside" the covered roundabout take the 3rd exit (signposted Isle of Dogs). As you emerge you will see a "Traffic Light Sculpture" on a roundabout, again take the 3rd exit. This is Westferry Road and stay on this as you drive round the bottom of the Isle of Dogs.

As you drive around the bottom of the Isle of Dogs, you will pass the "Lord Nelson" Pub and then a bit further down Island Gardens DLR on your left.

George Green School is beyond DLR on the right, further along from the all-weather pitch. Park safely near the School. Then make your way to the main reception of the school which is almost opposite the row of shops, by the zebra Crossing.

Once inside head up stairs to the main gym.

..by tube and DLR..

Head for Royal Albert DLR
Traveling from the City of London, head out on the either Jubilee Line or the Central Line, then take the DLR.

...if starting with the Jubilee Line
Head for Canning Town - East bound direction. At Canning Town take the DLR to Royal Albert (4 stops) - also eastbound direction.
...if starting with the Central Line
Head for Bank. At Bank change for the DLR. Try and get onto a Beckton DLR otherwise get on the first DLR and change at Westferry and/or Poplar for the Beckton DLR. The stop you need is Royal Albert DLR.
Once at Royal Albert DLR head down the steps out of the station and you will see the Regatta Centre ahead of you.

..by car...

Head for City Airport.
From the City of London, head out on the either A13 or A1203 for City Airport. Once at the Roundabout for City Airport, drive over the Connaught Bridge and you will see the Regatta Center on the far side of the Royal Albert Dock on your right.

At the next roundabout turn right off the bridge. Then at the next roundabout turn right for the approach road (1st road - its quite small!) to the Regatta Centre. Follow the road, passes right by to the Royal Albert DLR station and the Regatta Center car park will be further down on your left.
