Among other NEW developments taking place this year apart from new riggers for the womens VIII, new resdencia in Banyoles, new clubhouse by October 11th...we are also having a brand new web site!!
Mr "DJ" Birrell not only designed the Banyoles t-shirt but he is also applying his design talents and time to creating a newer re-designed website.

John is working on it right now, re-desiging the website - so bear with him while the changes are being made but you can all have a peek at what is to come, here... Check it out. Top secret, mind. Of course all suggestions welcome, so email him! or post a message on the message board.

Curlew Sponsored Row

Curlew Rowing Club will be rowing the length of the Thames - 350km!!! Well, not really, as they will be doing it on rowing machines! Each rower will complete two 6km pieces, which means we will need around 29.2 rowers taking part.

The aim of this is to raise money for the refurbishment of the clubhouse. It will take place sometime around April/May, to be confirmed. If you wish to sign up, email Mark Tomkins. A sponsorship form will be available for download shortly.

Curlew Rowing Club

We welcome and encourage anyone who is interested in rowing to join
Curlew Rowing Club. If you are an experienced rower but need to combine your passion for rowing with work / life commitments or you want to learn to row, need to keep rowing over the holiday period and would like to be row in friendly and encouraging atmosphere then Curlew Rowing Club is your club.

We train at the London Regatta Centre (pdf download), where we have use of an Olympic style 2km multi-lane rowing course, state of the art rowing tank and extensive changing facilities. There is also plenty of parking. We also train at Greenwich for the Head Races, where we also have our clubhouse and "home", in the Trafalgar Rowing Centre - a few yards down from the Trafalgar Tavern, where our new boathouse/gym has only just been built.

It is a grass roots scheme that has been created to offer club members the best deals on the market, using a network of companies who have also agreed to make a donation to the club every time a member or affiliate uses these servives.
