In recent years the Women Squad has gone from strength to strength. Having been historically competitive in small boats, with a Met Regatta win and a National Medal in the W2x, Curlew is now gaining a reputation as a force in large boats too.

2014 saw the purchase of a new Hudson VIII for the women’s squad enabling two women’s boats entered into WeHoRR for the first time in recent memory. 2018 saw the highest placement at WeHoRR in the last decade, reaching 61st and winning the Medium Club Pennant.

We are always looking for more senior women to join our squad, if you have one year or more of racing experience and want to get back involved with rowing please contact the Women’s captain via the Contact Us page, and we will endeavour to get you in a boat as soon as possible.

There are two outings on both Saturday and Sunday with four ergo and weight sessions in the week. During summer these are replaced with additional on the water outings.
