The women’s squad have been building a strong foundation in recent years, with success at both WeHoRR and Women’s Henley: our 1st VIII came 61st and won the Medium Club Pennant at WeHoRR 2018, and we have had crews reaching the quarter finals at Women’s Henley the last two years in a row (Aspirational Club IVs in 2019, and Aspirational Club VIIIs in 2018). 2019 also saw us enter the new Development 4+ category at Women’s Henley, as we continue to develop our intermediate female rowers.
The squad is run by the Women’s co-Captains, in collaboration with the Club Captain and Senior Coach. Weekend training at the Royal Albert Dock involves a double session on Saturday morning, a single session on Sunday morning, and four erg/weights sessions at
our Greenwich gym during the week. In the summer months some weekday sessions are replaced by additional water sessions.
We are always looking for experienced rowers to expand our squad. If you have one year or more of racing experience and are keen to get back to rowing, please get in touch via our Contact US page, and we will get you down for a trial session as soon as possible.
