Curlew Rowing Club – seeks to appoint a head coach. The head coach will oversee the current coaching structure, which encompasses two women’s coaches, a men’s coach and two novice coaches. The head coach will focus on the senior end of the squads with the aim to produce good results at the premier head races and regattas across the season. Curlew has a strong tradition in the top regattas over recent years with both men and women’s top VIII featuring within the top 100 at Head of the River, as well as qualifying at least one crew in the past 13 of the 14 years at Henley Royal Regatta. The new head coach would be responsible for carrying on that tradition and seek to improve on past results. This is a non-payment role, and would suit either an ex-rower who wants to give back to the sport or an experienced coach who is seeking a new challenge. Curlew would subsidise the majority of costs associated with this role, and would be happy to part fund a British Rowing coaching certificate upon request.
